Simon is a bilingual, award-winning C-Suite executive with over 20 years of senior leadership experience in federal, Indigenous, and local governments and the private sector.

 

He served as Chief Administrative Officer at one of the only self-governing First Nations in Canada.  Prior to this, he was a senior executive in the federal government, where he held numerous senior leadership roles including  Director General, Executive Director, Director, Head of Intergovernmental Relations, and Advisor to two federal Cabinet Ministers.

He holds numerous credentials including an MBA from the University of Liverpool, a BA in Political Science and Economics from Mount Allison University, a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP/FIBP) Designation from the Forum for International Trade Training, an Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D), a Diploma in Chinese Studies from Zhejiang University, and a certificate in Cybersecurity from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Simon is passionate about hard work and pushing the limits of what is possible. He is the 167th person in the world (13th Canadian) to complete the 4Deserts Ultramarathon: a 1,000 km self-supported footrace across the Sahara, Atacama, Gobi, and Antarctic deserts.
